Heart Heroes, Inc. is expanding the Superhero Heart Run, a nationwide 5k run experience to raise widespread awareness, support, and funding for Congenital Heart Defects! Families everywhere have told us that we need more awareness for CHD. This event will steal the hearts of people across the country and spread massive awareness for CHD. After all, who doesn’t love dressing up like their favorite superhero?! The bravery and resilience that our CHD Heart Heroes exhibit is nothing short of amazing. They deserve to be honored, celebrated, and revered.
People everywhere will be suiting up in their superhero gear and commemorative capes to create the most highly-visible event that ever existed for Congenital Heart Defect Awareness. Heart Heroes is partnering with Help-A-Heart and Dylan’s Dragon Walk to bring this event to the families in the Des Moines, IA for the second consecutive year!
Your participation will help raise awareness for CHD. Funds raised will be used to equip Heart Heroes everywhere with superhero Heart Hero capes, in addition to providing desperately needed family support, and financial assistance to Iowa families affected by CHD.

2 pm Superhero Heart Run begins
Family Fun activities will be available throughout the event!
All registrants who register and pay in advance will receive a commemorative Superhero Heart Run cape to wear on the day of the event. Heart Heroes (children born with Congenital Heart Defects) will register but not pay to participate and are encouraged to wear their Heart Hero cape. There will be t-shirts available to purchase as well.
